Let's look at the numbers:

54% - percentage of Americans who say that stress causes them to fight with people that are close to them

1 out of 3 - number of people that say they are living with extreme stress

$600 - average amount of extra money spent, per person, on health care costs by workers who report that they are stressed, than other employees

Yoga is proven to help reduce stress!  The Mayo Clinic says, "Yoga offers a good tool for stress management and relaxation. Left unchecked, stress can lead to a variety of health problems, including headache, insomnia, back pain, burnout, weight gain, anger and substance abuse. Yoga, with its quiet, precise movements can draw your focus away from your busy, chaotic day and more on the calming moment as you move your body through poses that require balance and concentration."

FAQ

What is the best class for someone who has never taken a yoga class before?

We intermittently offer an Intro to Yoga Series on Sundays.  Please check with the studio at 813.368.6546, but nearly all of our classes are beginner level classes so you can start with any of those.

Do I need to pre-register?

You have the choice to pre-register for classes online here, however it is not necessary. Feel free to drop into any of our classes. You are always welcome to drop in whenever you like!

I just found out I'm pregnant. Can I do yoga?

Yes! Yoga is a great way to keep your body healthy while helping to relieve stress during this time of change. Yoga will help you open your hips in preparation for labor while allowing you to learn to connect with the healing and relaxing power of your breath. Be sure to tell your teacher that you are pregnant. We require that you do wait until you are 12 weeks or longer in your pregnancy. If you join classes before that time, we will require a release from your physician.

Do you provide day care services?

At this time we do not, so we ask that you please find other arrangements for your children prior to coming to class.

We want to help you make healthy habits! When you sign up for Yoga Basics your next two regularly scheduled yoga classes are only $5!
